She is standing... on her own...

Emily stands alone now. Wow! Walking is JUST around the corner!

I wrote an article about Taco Via for the Cass Conservative. It was published this week with our family photo and picture of the restaurant. It is amazing what God is doing through the restaurant. It is a lot of work, but the ministry opportunities are a true blessing--- even when the going gets rough.

I am so thankful for all four of our managers at TV right now. They are really wonderful people who love the Lord. I am so grateful that God put them in our path.

Ron and I went on a date last night (first time since March). I received free tickets to the symphony. We really enjoyed it- it was novel to have a night without work. It seems like we both work constantly. I enjoyed the "down time" to just be together- what a novelty!

Well...off to catch some zzzzs, or at least try.

So it's been a while....

Emily is nearly 9 months old. She is amazing. She has a tooth. Loves to "motorboat" with her Dad (he loves her SO MUCH!!!)... He is a terrific Dad. She is sitting up, walking when we hold her hands, and crawling around. I love her SO MUCH!!!

Debate just ended. I'm going to miss everyone SO MUCH!!!

I am so proud of my graduates. It has truly been an honor that God has allowed me to be a part of your lives.

This summer, I plan to spend time with Emily, visit Mel in Boston, prepare for debate this fall, and work on advertising for our Taco Via in Belton. If you haven't been there, you should check it out! (816-322-TACO)... Pardon my plug. Marketing on the brain. What can I say?

Off to read another chapter in Jane Eyre.....

She is here! It still seems like a dream.

Emily Ann Light was born at 9:44am, Aug. 17. She weighed 7lb 2oz, 18.5 inches long, blue-gray eyes and golden blonde hair. She is very alert, happy, and healthy. She smiles a lot- see profile pic. I could watch her endlessly.

God has blessed us richly.

What a miracle!

The baby is due next week (Aug. 12) - very soon! I am sure Alexis will post pix ASAP, probably before I am home and able (if I know her). So, check her XANGA or www.psalt.com, or www.ronlight.com, to see photos.

Her nursery is ready, everything is ready--- -just waiting!

Debate starts Aug. 26th (if you haven't enrolled, the deadline is Aug. 15th).

Summer is nearly over... can you believe it?
